School Administrators to Oppose National Tests

K-12 Testing

At its recent national meeting, the Delegates Assembly of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) overwhelmingly approved a resolution opposing new national testing. The resolution reads:

"AASA supports current national testing, which samples student performance such as NAEP, and assessment to promote learning and provide accountability. We oppose the use of limited federal funds for additional federal tests, especially those which test all students at given grade levels."
