Support Testing Reform on Giving Tuesday

Tomorrow, November 29, is “Giving Tuesday,” a national time for generous donors like you to provide much needed funding for the non-profits whose work they support

To help eliminate high-stakes standardized exams, please take advantage of this special day to support FairTest.

Simply go to http://www.fairtest.org and use the red “Donate” button at the top right.

Thanks to the growing testing resistance and reform movement, fewer students, teachers and schools will suffer the damaging consequences of high-stakes testing:

  • The number of students facing high school graduation tests sharply declined as states with exit exams shrank from 27 to 13.
  • More students can enroll in colleges that do not require the SAT or ACT for admissions, as 30 more schools adopted test-optional policies, boosting the total to more than 900.
  • Under the new Every Student Succeeds Act, states have begun to roll back test-based sanctions against schools and teachers.

With a new president and Congress, we face great uncertainty. But we know that parents, teachers, students and their allies will continue to fight to reduce the number of tests, end high stakes and implement locally controlled performance assessments.

FairTest will continue as a movement leader – but we need your help to be more effective.

Please make you tax-deductible donation now at https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/fairtest – or send your check to FairTest, Box 300204, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. Your contribution is fully tax deductible.

Thank you!
