Opt Outs Surge Past 500,000 Nationwide

Around the U.S., well over half a million public school students refused to take standardized exams during the 2015 testing season, according to our preliminary count, which is based on news reports and detailed surveys by local activists. FairTest's recent news release includes figures from the states with the largest numbers of students opting out of state tests.
