Executive Director Harry Feder spent time visiting and talking with students, educators, and administrators in the Anaheim Union High School District in Orange County, CA about their work transforming assessment through a performance-based approach. Led by Superintendent Michael Matsuda, the assessment approach is part of an effort to make school more meaningful, productive and engaging for students and to foster the deeper learning and critical thinking necessary to navigate the modern world and lead fulfilling lives. The District is also committed to supporting its students’ economic and socio-emotional needs through its community schooling commitment.
